Here are some great tips for your Wedding Flowers to keep them Fresh especially if you are doing a DIY Bouquet
Roses are best preserved at 5 degrees Celsius … the best way is to put them in water as deep as possible, but keeping the buds well above the waterline. Do this for at least 3 hours. If possible, then keep them at around 20 degrees Celsius.
All thorns and any lower leaves should be removed.
Preserve peonies at 5 degrees Celsius.
Here is a wonderful Tip! If you have a tight bud on your peony blossom, but want it to open, you can put it into a hot water for a very short time, and it will blossom in front your eyes.
Preserve Orchids at 8 degrees Celsius.
Be Aware of drops of water left on the flowers as they can harm the blossoms. Fresh Clean Water is the best way to keep Orchids Fresh.
Tulips love very cold water, even with ice.
If you want to keep tulip stems straight, you should fix them with paper and leave in the water for couple of hours.
WEDDING DAY TIPS : If your Wedding Bouquet and Wedding Flowers are being delivered always keep your Wedding Bouquet in the coolest room in the house – usually the bathroom – along with Buttonholes and Bridal Party flowers.
Choose wedding flowers that will last the day such as –
Have fun choosing your Wedding flowers – they add a stunning element to any Wedding Design and your Bouquets can be used as part of your Wedding Reception centre-piece design, saving you a lot of money.
A Vintage Wedding needs to be simple and elegant … my biggest tips for a Vintage Wedding are:
Do not make your Ceremony or Reception too cluttered – showcase a few beautiful items.
Keep your flowers old-fashioned and plenty of them to give you the wow factor … a large flower such as peonies make a dramatic statement for a small investment and you don’t need to many to fill a vase.
Use old suitcases for your ceremony as storage for sandals etc and great double use to take everything with you after.
Look around your mum and dad’s house – you are bound to find an old plank of wood for a sign or an old ladder you can use.
Noosa Wedding Ring: Natasja and Greg chose Noosa’s Casuarina Garden for their Noosa beach wedding and our award-winning Wedding Planner Glenda McCallum to co-ordinate the arrangements for them.
Celebrant Tim Goessling CMC officiated and Ronnie of anoosa.com Photography was responsible for Greg and Natasja’s stunning photos. The Ultimate Florist did the honours with Natasja’s beautifully feminine tulip posy and Uniquely You decorators worked their magic in the Casuarina Garden with a registry set and a bamboo aisleway ready for Natasja’s arrival.
Natasja said ‘When planning our wedding day we were overseas in The Netherlands because I had problems with my visa. So we had to make all the arrangements with Glenda via email, not being certain whether the wedding could go ahead. We only found out that I was allowed back into Australia 2 weeks before the wedding. As a result we had a rather small wedding. Glenda, Tim and Ronnie really did a fabulous job, Glenda made sure everything ran smoothly and that our guests were being looked after, Tim did a wonderful job with the ceremony and we didn’t even notice that photos were being taken by Ronnie – it was the perfect small, intimate ceremony we hoped it would be – we had nothing to worry about and could enjoy every moment of our wedding day!’
Noosa Wedding Ring‘s congratulations to Greg and Natasja.
