The Offenbach Trio (ABN 5905527) is a string ensemble consisting of two violins and a 'cello offering live entertainment for weddings, business functions and other special occasions from Noosa to Brisbane.

It was formed in Brisbane in July 1991 and while being based there, the trio performed at Government House, QUT, Roseville Restaurant and at numerous private and business events. In April 2003, the trio performed for the Australian Prime Minister at Greenslopes.

The Offenbach Trio's founding member, Alex Pattri, moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1993 after completing a Bachelor of Music degree at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Since then the trio has performed at venues such as the Hyatt Regency Coolum, Novotel Twin Waters, the Noosa Reef Hotel and of course at many churches and private residences. Alex currently teaches violin at his private studio at Yandina and plays fiddle in a bush band called "Bush Medicine". Alex also was a first violinist in the Queensland Pops Orchestra and remains active with many local orchestras/ensembles. All other members of The Offenbach Trio hold a tertiary music degree and are experienced performers in all kinds of genres.

The Offenbach Trio was a double finalist at the 2006 ABIA Awards.

The repertoire of The Offenbach Trio covers a wide range of classical and light classical pieces as well as embracing suitable popular songs from the '60s onwards, Jewish music, French art songs and Irish jigs and reels. Alex arranges numerous works for string trio and if given at least three weeks advance notice, he will be happy to arrange any favourites not yet on the repertoire list. Each of these special requests will be arranged professionally for a fee of $55.00 with suitability of a piece to be arranged determined by Alex.

Please be assured that the economical performance fees do not reflect the professional handling of your engagement nor the trio's appearance - black and white is their standard attire. As a quick guide, a 2-hour performance of the trio is charged at $575. This fee includes any expenses related to GST and includes all travel costs for engagements between Brisbane and Noosa. The ensemble is flexible enough to incorporate flute or voice, or expand to become a string quartet.
