Noosa Ferry Magic …What do Jimmy Barnes, Rex Hunt and Darlene Superstar all have in common?

ferry Sand Isalnd 6

–they all have boarded the ferry for a stunning Noosa wedding!

Noosa’s beautiful ferries have been creating that perfect wedding day “magic link” for many years. The boats connect the favourite places to take your vows in Noosa Heads – Main Beach, National Park and Woods Bay with the many restaurant venues along the river.

The ferries are the fun, easy and safe way for your bridal party and guests to arrive at the reception. The 1930’s style riverboats have London bus open top decks and undercover cushioned seating downstairs. Drinks are BYO and light catering can be arranged.

Options can include an interim cocktail cruise allowing time for bridal photographs, your ceremony on board at the river entrance or island, the bride can arrive by gondola or classic mahogany speed boat or you can arrange or a post wedding breakfast cruise.

Guests on one ferry wedding, having boarded at the Sheraton jetty for a ”secret destination”, got the surprise of their lives as high heels and stockings were discarded to land on a secluded sand island, with beach umbrellas , champagne and guitar music! The beautiful bride arrived by gondola, guests cheered as she was carried ashore by the groom to be. As everyone reboarded for the reception (more champagne!), feet and clothes were dusted in time to arrive at the local restaurant  -a wedding remembered with delight by all.

Noosa is such a beautiful location with a great choice of venues for all budgets. Don’t forget to plan ahead and book your boat and reception early and stay relaxed – in Noosa we want your wedding day to be a happy one. Noosa Ferries are proud members of the Noosa Wedding Ring, a team of wedding professionals with many years of experience. Our Noosa Ferry team would love to help make your Noosa wedding perfect.

Being available in a wide range of colours to suit any bridal party colour theme

This is a popular choice in place of wedding flowers

and can be used at the reception for some extra decoration to fill that unwanted space

Best Tips for a Vintage Wedding ?

PeoniesA Vintage Wedding needs to be simple and elegant … my biggest tip for a Vintage Wedding is

  • Do not make your Ceremony or Reception too cluttered – showcase a few beautiful items
  • Keep your flowers old fashioned and plenty of them to give you the wow factor … a large flower such as peonies make a dramatic statement for a small investment and you don’t need to many to fill a vase
  • Use old suitcases for your ceremony as storage for sandels etc and great double use to take everything with you after
  • Look around your mum and dad’s house you are bound to find an old plank of wood for a sign or an old ladder you use
  • Make it fun and be creative
